Answer

How much does AI automation cost for a small business?

Cost is driven by three things: how many processes you automate, how many systems have to be connected, and how much clean-up your data needs. We price a scoped project, not seats, and the first call gives you a concrete figure. Payback is measured in hours: one automated function typically returns 2–15 hours a week.

What actually drives the price

The biggest cost driver is not the AI model, it is the number of integration points. An automation that reads one inbox and writes into one spreadsheet is a fraction of one that touches your CRM, your invoicing system and a warehouse database with different data formats in each.

The second driver is the state of your data. If your price list lives in four versions and your customer records have duplicates, cleaning that up is part of the project. It is also the part that pays off independently of the AI.

A phased rollout instead of one big number

We do not quote a whole transformation. The first phase is one process with a measurable before and after, live in weeks. If the hours come back, phase two adds the next process on the same foundation, which is cheaper because the connections already exist.

How to judge the offer

Ask any supplier three questions: which process, how many hours a week it currently takes, and what happens when the AI is unsure. An offer that cannot answer the second question has no baseline, and without a baseline nobody can tell you whether it paid off.

Is there a monthly fee as well?

There is a running cost, because calls, messages and model usage are consumption-based, plus monitoring. We show both the one-off build and the expected monthly running cost in the same offer.

Can we start with something small?

Yes. Most clients begin with a single function such as call answering or email triage. It is live in one to two weeks and gives you real numbers before you commit to anything larger.
